Visit the Spice Plantation in Thekkady, stroll around the captivating farm and discover various spices in different sections of the plantation. If time permits witness the amazing work of art of Kathakali, one of the major classical dance forms of Kerala. Also get captivated by the ancient form of martial arts practiced in Kerala, the Kalaripayattu, which is said to be the oldest and most scientific martial arts in the world. After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey (4 hours’ drive). Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboats. Check in time is 12.30 PM and cruise starts with lunch. While cruising in these floating luxury-villas, let your eyes settle for the rare and the unusual - skim past Chinese fishing nets, bowed-down paddy fields, and local inhabitants engaged in making coir products, rustic homes, and ancient temples and swaying coconut groves. After breakfast, check out from the houseboat (check out time 9 AM) and drive to Kovalam (4 hours’ drive). On arrival at Kovalam check-in into hotel. After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Trivandrum - Thiruvananthapuram, previously called Trivandrum, is an ancient city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India spreading over a total of 2,192 sq km. Sightseeing tour is comprehensive with the visits to Shri Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Sri Chitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Palace and Zoo. Overnight stay is arranged in Kovalam.
