Munnar Tour Package (2 Nights/3 Days)

Day 01 - Arrive at Cochin to Munnar

Arrive at Cochin Airport/Ernakulam railway station (meet & assistance on arrival) and drive to Munnar (4 hours’ drive). Munnar, situated 1600 Meter above sea level at the confluence of three mountain streams - Mudrapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundale. This majestic hill station was once the summer resort of the British government in South India. On the way enjoy some waterfalls and natural scenic spots. On arrival at Munnar check into Hotel. The Tea Museum displays the history and evolution of the tea plantations in Munnar. The museum is open to tourists till 5pm. If you are a flora lover, pay a visit to the Floriculture Centre Munnar. Commonly known as Rose Garden, it has over hundred varieties of flowers and herbal plants. Open from 10 am to 5 pm. Overnight stay is arranged at Munnar. 

Day 02 - Munnar sightseeing

After breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Munnar. Places to interest - The Eravikulam National Park in Munnar is one of the five national parks in Kerala, with rich flora and fauna, which is home to the famous Nilgiri Thar. The park closes at 4 pm. The Mattupetty Dam/Lake is one of the most visited tourist attractions in Munnar, surrounded by lush green forest. Open from 9:30 am till 5 pm. You may also engage in boating and horse rides [depend on availability]. The Kundala Lake/Dam is one of the most picturesque locations in Munnar no entry fees, but boating activities cost extra if required. Visitors are allowed till 5pm. The Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary - declared a Tiger Reserve in 1978 is one of the world's most fascinating wild life reserves stretching to a total of 777sq km of which 360 km is thick ever green forest. Allows visitors from 6 am to 4 pm. Boating at the Periyar lake is an activity much sought by tourists who visit Thekkady because wild animals can be spotted during the session. Online booking is recommended to avoid queues. Jeep safari is a fun optional activity to enjoy if you have an adventurous bone. Visit the Spice Plantation in Thekkady, stroll around the captivating farm and discover various spices in different sections of the plantation. If time permits witness the amazing work of art of Kathakali, one of the major classical dance forms of Kerala. Also get captivated by the ancient form of martial arts practiced in Kerala, the Kalaripayattu, which is said to be the oldest and most scientific martial arts in the world. Post lunch we visit KFDC Floriculture Centre This place is full of beautiful flowers, herbs, medicinal plants, bonsai and various types of greens. Mattupetty Dam (If boat operates, we give you boat ride) Surrounded by the Shola forests, Echo Point As the name itself suggests, It is the only place in Munnar which provides a precise repetition of the echoes, Pothamedu Viewpoint and Blossom Hydel Park this place a splendid location for some candid photos. Munnar to Alleppey (5 hours' drive)

After breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to Alleppey. On arrival at Alleppey check into Houseboat. Set out on an enchanting overnight backwater cruise in traditionally decorated houseboats. Alleppey - Kovalam (4 hours' drive)

Afternoon proceed for the sightseeing tour of Trivandrum- Thiruvananthapuram, previously called Trivandrum, is an ancient city with tradition dating back to 1000 BC. This capital city of Kerala is a beautiful seaside metropolis built on seven hills. It is located on the west coast of India spreading over a total of 2,192 sq.km. Sightseeing tour is comprehensive with the visits to Padmanabhaswami Temple, Srichitra Art Gallery, Napier Museum and Zoo. Enjoy the evening watching a spectacular sunset or swimming at the picturesque Kovalam Beach. Overnight is to be spent at hotel in Kovalam.

Kovalam - Kanyakumari - Kovalam (3 hours' drive one way)

After breakfast proceed for a day trip to Kanyakumari. Kanyakumari is located at the southern tip of the Indian subcontinent and represents the site where the spiritual leader Swami Vivekananda spent days in meditation upon a rock off of the coast. Padmanbhapuram Palace, Suchithram Temple, Devi Kanyakumari Temple, Vivekananda Memorial, Gandhidham and Triveni Sagam are some of the sightseeing attractions in Kanyakumari. Enjoy the sunset in the evening and drive back to Kovalam for an overnight stay.

  • All tolls, parking, driver batta, and fuel expenses for the vehicle.

  • Any increase in taxes or fuel leading to additional expenses in surface transportation and land arrangements, which may occur before or during the trip duration.
